Colby Marie

Hi! :) I'm Colby Marie. I'm an educator, artist, writer and creator. I'm so excited that you are here and quite honestly freaking out a bit about writing a bio. What to say? Who am I? What's my voice? Well, honestly that's why we are here. I have been searching and looking my whole life for meaning, authentic identity, purpose and learning how to navigate the world while causing as little harm to myself and others as possible. Do you remember when you were little and you began asking, "why?" Do you remember that feeling of being excited about not knowing? Well, I whole heartedly believe that we are always asking why, we are always learning, we are are searching for meaning, understanding and connection. We are all walking one another home.

Turning of the Bones is an educational story telling experiment. I want to explore what it means to be a human in this ever changing world. I want to explore what gives our lives meaning and purpose. I want to explore what healing from ancestral, cultural, and personal trauma looks like. I believe that we are here to learn, heal, connect and work together to create spaces where do these things in community.

Colby believes in the power of relationships, education and conversation to connect us and heal us. “We don’t know what we don’t know.” While this statement may seem obvious for Colby it is central to their view on education and healing. “We need examples, education and instruction in order to see clearly. Without contemplation, self-inquiry and systematic analysis of our conditioning we are doomed to repeat the mistakes of our parents, their parents and the societies and cultures that raised them.”

Turning of the Bones aims to create community, provide resources, and facilitate healing educational experiences about the dynamic nuances of being a human in relationship with other humans.

Turning of the Bones is an audio storytelling project that shares stories, experiences and conversations. Stories and human experiences contain all the collective wisdom we need to grow, heal, make meaning of our lives and develop spiritually. Turning of the Bones is Colby Graham and a diverse community of healers, artists, mental health professionals, educators, seekers and humans working to heal themselves and others.

I believe that these stories and experiences contain all the collective wisdom we need to grow, heal and develop spiritually.
